Reflections from 2019:
- God is so creative; He also has the best sense of humor
- Jesus understands deep loss more than we do
- Reading the entire New Testament in 40 days is a life changer
- God blesses those who faithfully give to Him
- God hears and answers those prayers you think He might miss
- Our life here is temporary. It will constantly change, and our plans won’t stand unless they are perfectly in line with God’s
- God is in control—not me
- Having your child at work with you is a blessing, but is also tiring
- Sleep is essential
- Learning to take care of more than one baby at once as a new mom is awesome
- Watching multiple toddlers/babies all day each day develops patience
- Reading children’s books is so fun
- Loss hurts a lot, but there is always hope in Jesus
- Knitting is a new hobby of mine
- Herbal tea is a little more enjoyable than coffee
- Not lesson-planning and grading papers is really nice, but some days I miss it
- Norwex is a life-changer
- When you stop running consistently, your body changes
- A slower-paced life is a happier life
- Teaching piano lessons is one of my favorite jobs
- Playing piano and writing is some of my best therapy
- Complaining, worrying, and stressing are completely pointless
- My parents are some of the most loving, selfless examples of Christ in my life
- New babies are some of the best therapy for their great-grandparents
- Dwelling on the past and fearing the future is directly related to depression
- I have more dreams and passions in life than I’ve let myself believe until now
- Life is way simpler than we make it out to be
- My husband is one of the most thoughtful, fun, and selfless people I know; he is also a great dad
- Doctors and nurses are a huge blessing
- My mom is the wisest lady I know
- Music is one of God’s greatest blessings
